Cross Spider

Araneus diadematus

A common garden spider found all over the place this time of year. This one was up near the ceiling in a cabin near Gold Bar, WA. Normally I find them out in the yard where they are impossible to photograph - had to grab a shot of this one so clear against the white wall. This spider was missing it's second front left leg as you can see in the picture and had a body about the size of a kernel of corn, including legs was just shy of an inch long.
