Description:

This is a tadpole morphing into a frog. These tadpoles grow to a length of about 5 cm and then in a very short time they grow little legs and drop the tail, becoming little frogs about 1-2 cms long and crawl out of the water onto lily pads to take in their new surroundings.

Habitat:

Garden pond on limestone outcrop in foothills of Los Serranos mountains.
