Sciurus griseus
Known locally as silver greys to distinguish them from douglas squirrels and intrdocued fox squirrels. This was the next to last time we saw her before she returned months later, ragged, skinny and showing signs of having nursed a litter.
At a tray feeder for birds
Note her tail missing a strip of fur - I suspect she was picked up by one of the local red shoulder hawks who couldn't handle her weight and the skin must have ripped off. It has been that way for over a year
