Oxynopterus mucronatus
First of 3 different creatures spotted all in one potted plant. There were about 4 of these click beetles resting in the plant. Included a video I shot of it "clicking" and righting itself after being on its back.

Thanks Mayra :-)
Uau, fantastic!!!
Thanks KristalWatrous :-)
Thanks Ann! They are actually quite easy to pick up and they don't bite or anything like that. They however "Click" themselves as a defense mechanism too. You don't need to be afraid of them :-)
I actually picked it up and purposely put it on its back just to capture on video and share the clicking and righting action for better appreciation.
Very cool!
Super pictures and great video!
You had the guts to pick one up and put it on its back? Or was it already on its back? I didn't dare touch the one I spotted... Actually saw a second one and thought about putting them both on their backs and video who would be the first to 'click' themselves over... But I was too much of a coward :-(
Oh yes. Love them too. Stylish antlers :-)
I did watch Eric! I first thought that the video had been accelerated but then the sound was normal; it's putting an incredible amount of energy into turning itself back! I love the "antlers"...
Oh they are Daniele. Especially when they "click". Not sure if you saw the video but you can here the click even with the strong wind and waves in the background :-)
What an astonishing critter!
