Moon Jelly

Aurelia aurita

Description:

Large pink purple jellyfish with 4 round evenly spaced centered organs in the middle of the organism. The size id from 12 to 24 inches in size and are currently epidemic in the Ocean Ridge/Boynton Inlet area of south eastern Florida

Habitat:

Observed in the Atlantic Ocean, Manalapan and Ocean Ridge Florida areas near the beach.

Notes:

Graceful but I assume dangerous jellyfish. Very Pink-purple.

They aren't dangerous. Their sting is really quite mild.
