found it, thank you. I wonder why I got nothing when I googled ambrosia, though? Tons of info on ragweed

Yes. Ambrosia spp are often called ragweeds. The leaf shape and flowers are especially reminiscent of this genus. However i dont know of any that have semi succulent or succulent leaves

all the artemesia I've seen has really soft flimsy leaves. These were stiff and thick.. almost a succulent. Couldn't find ambrosia... is the spelling correct?

looks like a species of artemesia.... or possibly ambrosia
