Description:

There are no substantial differences between the subspecies meridionalis and continental types pig. The Sardinian wild boar lives mainly associated with scrub and forest environments and preferably near water sources pig. Compared to continental types showing a greater preference for dense vegetation, so it is more difficult to find in open spaces. It feeds on acorns, legumes, fruits of the bush, roots and tubers, however, can vary greatly in their diet during the year pig. Being omnivorous predator behaves as a child, especially at the expense of the nests of some birds and small animals pig.
