Dog Day Cicada

Description:

I love cicadas! This cicada was singing on a Honey Mesquite (Prosopis glandulosa) branch.

Habitat:

Desert arroyo.

Notes:

I don't remember the exact date I took this photo and the information was somehow lost. But I do remember where it was taken and that is was one of the hottest times of the year. So my guess would be sometime in June of last year.
