I just started a new mission: non-hummingbird creatures at hummingbird feeders. Your photo would be a great addition.

It's almost the season forthese guys to come back out.
I noticed that on cicaida, mantids, bumble bees and this wasp to name a few, that there are three bumps in a triangle on their heads. Anyone know what they are called and what purpose they serve?
