Alabama Red-Bellied Turtle

Description:

We saved this turtle from the road and I carried into the car for some viewing and photography before releasing it...I believe that it was an Alabama Red-bellied Turtle, but I am not positive on that ID. The belly was definitely not red and I can't be certain from the pictures. I did, however, take it across the road (in the direction it was trying to travel) where it immediately swam into a ditch. Beautiful creature!!

en verdad hermosa, felicidades por no depredar; lo que nació libre, que muera libre.
