We have been to this area many times and on every occasion have been lucky enough to see blue sage grouse with their hatchlings! This is the mother-I will post the chicks under another listing...
On the first trip up the mountain we spotted a female Blue grouse and her brood and then we noticed a male (in full breeding display!!) pursuing her!! Of course, my camera battery had died and I am still soooo very disappointed over that missed photo opportunity!
