Bite size fungi! (But it's best not to eat them until after identifying...)

Habitat:

Found on the side of a trail, altitude of 7,500 feet, absolutely minute, thriving in soil that probably is over some slightly buried twig or bark that these guys are using as food.

Notes:

Food source is any sort of conifer wood.
