Yellow-tailed Ashy Skimmer

Description:

A medium sized dragonfly with bluish black thorax and yellow tail with black markings. Face is yellowish to steel black or brown. Eyes are reddish brown above and bluish grey below. Thorax is black in adults and covered with bluish pruinescence. In young adults, yellow markings are visible through the pruinescence. Abdomen basal segments are covered with bluish pruinescence.

Habitat:

Near water bodies and shrubs dry forest
