White rain lily

Zephyranthes candida

Description:

Zephyranthes candida, is a species of rain lily native to South America. The species is widely cultivated as an ornamental and reportedly naturalized in many places. The pictured bloomed lilies were planted in a flower pot that I rescued from the neigbourhood waste container. Now they live happily in my backyard, in Volos city, Greece.
