Sialia sialis
A beautiful bird. The male has a brilliant blue upper body with a brownish red chest and white bottom. The female is a little grayer in color. Their wings are long when opened in flight.
Open fields or big open yards, surrounded by trees.
They nest in old Woodpecker holes as well as nest boxes. I always have them in my yard and I have a nest box set up in the open.
