Nine-banded Armadillo

Dasypus novemcinctus

Description:

Armadillos are all over Cumberland Island, GA... they roam around all day and night. They have no predators out there, but it sure is strange to see them roaming around in the wide open in the middle of the day!

Mandy, you really should if you get the time. It's a beautiful place just full of wildlife.

Cool! I've been wanting to find some Armadillos. I'll have to take a mini-vacation to Cumberland Island!
