Cycloneda polita
Spotted this Western Blood-Red Lady Beetle on a dandelion plant while I was walking in Aquatic Park in Berkeley.
Aquatic Park in Berkeley.
Cool!
They are really tiny ladybugs that I see here all the time. They are about half the size of a regular ladybug and some of them are a really dark red. And yes, it is on a dandelion plant. I found the ladybug motherload in Aquatic Park.
Great ladybug - I don't think I've ever seen those before. Is it on a dandelion plant? The leaves look kind of spiny.
