Ginni, along with changing the common name you should add the scientific name to this spotting and your other spottings that you have correctly identified. This way they will no longer appear as an unknown spotting, since you know what they are.
Ginni you can open the spotting and then use edit this spotting tab on your top right corner to correct the name.
thanks Annorion. Is there any way I can change "crane" to the correct "great blue heron"?
