An oak is a tree or shrub in the genus Quercus (Latin "oak tree"), with about 600 species exitisting on earth. "Oak" may also appear in the names of species in related genera, notably Lithocarpus.

Honestly, to me an oak tree always has been that, an oak tree. I never knew that there are so many possibilities :-)
But 'Deutsche Eiche' sounds reasonable ;-)
