The mustard white butterfly is not native to Mexico, are you sure you saw this species in Mexico? Also notable, this genus, Pieris, is a confusing one. My identification may not be exact. But of all of the species and notable subspecies in the genus, the Mustard White most closely resembled this specimen.

Beautiful find! And a unique genus.
