Acanthocephala terminalis
wooded area
It's definitely in the family Coreidae, but I don't think it is an Anasa. Looks more like Acanthocephala terminalis to me.
Compare Anasa tristis: http://bugguide.net/node/view/448661
to Acanthocephala terminalis: http://bugguide.net/node/view/409104
the coloration on the terminal ends of antennae and tibiae are different, as is the leg length.
Here in Alabama every summer these particular insects are hated with a passion as they decimate many types of popular squash. They kill the entire squash plant. They hide under the large squash plant leaves and there is really no chemical treatment to combat their destruction.
Looks like something in the stink bug family. i had a similar spotting.
