Description:

Only 3cm tall with a cap around 0.5cm, this little guy is easy to miss. There are three Collybia like this. One has a appleseed like end, the other looks like a grain of rice and the last nothing at all. Commonly found on decaying fungus.

Habitat:

Sphaghnum moss, wet, mixed forest

Notes:

When collecting a sample for study, be sure to dig down deep to get the base if it has one. Base type is key to identification.
