Actias luna
Actias luna, commonly known as the Luna Moth, is a lime-green, Nearctic Saturniid moth in the family Saturniidae, subfamily Saturniinae. It has a wingspan of up to 114mm (4.5 inches), making it one of the largest moths in North America.
This moth is found in North America from east of the Great Plains in the United States to northern Mexico and from Saskatchewan eastward through central Quebec to Nova Scotia in Canada. There have been sightings as far south as central Florida.

Could you add a description of the habitat where you actually saw your spottings rather than/ or as well as the formal habitat description. Thanks, it is so interesting to read where each individual spotting is found. I love your new collection and look forward to many more spottings from you!
