Description:

Spotted these leafhoppers that appear to be mating behind a mammoth sunflower leaf in my garden in Emeryville, CA. There were ants nearby on the the plant.

Habitat:

Urban flower garden.

Unfortunately I don't know either. I haven't spotted mating leafhoppers yet myself. Either way, it's an interesting spotting!

Cindy: I updated the spotting with a questions mark--I assumed they were mating, but am not certain.
