Perithemis tener
Clove Lakes Park, Staten Island New York, freshwater pond. Photographed on Skuillcap Flower.
Both the amberwing and the skullcap are common at this pond. Skullcap is interesting medicinally (although I haven't tried it), see link.

Thanks very much for your advice! I think I tried moving the pointer but it didn't work. Will try again when I upload another photo.
Moved to arthropods for you.
What I meant to say was: ""When there are 2 or more species in a SINGLE spotting PHOTO it is probably best to pick one to represent the spotting.
Have you tried moving the pointer on the map to the location of the spotting? BTW, the "other" category refers to organisms that don't fit into the specific named categories. When there are 2 or more species in a spotting it is probably best to pick one to represent the spotting. For instance in yours there's a dragonfly and a flower. You might decide to focus one or the other and put the spotting in that category instead of "other". You can still talk about the other species in the description and/or notes. Thanks!
for some reason, the website seems to think everything I post is from Newark. Disregard...all these postings unless otherwise noted are from Staten Island, New York.
