Description:

Mature individual that is sporulating in early spring. Looks like a cracked eggshell filled with something like that looks like dirt (chocolate-colored spores). It was about 4" across and grows in full sun.

Habitat:

Spotted in the grass on the grounds of Tanglewood Nature Center.
