Common Cardinal juveniles

Cardinalis cardinalis

Description:

I think they are juveniles because of their size, behavior, coloring and time of the year. These two were making a huge ruckus with their calls for a good 5 minutes. I was looking at the Hydrangeas and could here these guys from a good ways away. They were shaking the tree and did not seem to notice me until I got right up near them (from the ground). Then a human juvenile made some squeals and they flew off.

Habitat:

Night visit to the Atlanta Botanic Gardens.
