"Strelitzia caudata, commonly known as the Mountain Strelitzia or Wild Banana"-Wikipedia This was inside the "rain forest" area in the Fuqua Conservatory. This was a night visit to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Atlanta, GA.

Thanks Mike. I will look it up.
I am sure this is not a wild banana in fact I am positive as the generic name of Banana is Musa acuminata, or M. balbisiana. The plant you have here is most certainly Strelitzia.
