Verbena hastata
A slender, erect plant that can be up to 5' tall. It branches occasionally along the upper half of its length. The opposite leaves are up to 6" long and 1" across. The upper stems terminate in panicles of flowering spikes up to 1' long that are densely crowded with blue-purple flowers. Individual flowers are up to ¼" long.
Growing in a small island meadow between 2 streams
