It was pretty special, and intimate since they were so close. There are always a lot of manatees around this time of year (six in this group), but distinguishing the young ones is a little difficult in such gatherings. I got incredibly lucky this morning.

Oh my gosh what a precious photo! I've always wanted to see manatees in the wild, and you even got to see a baby! I love how it looks like the mother is kissing her calf :) Excellent spotting, wonderful!
