Seal Salamander

Desmognathus monticola

Description:

A lungless salamander native to the mid- and southeastern US.

Habitat:

Spotted in a rocky mountain stream in north Georgia.

Notes:

Again, the blue gloves, or avatar hands, are used when possible to prevent any disease spread between individuals or bodies of water, and simply to keep whatever smells and/or chemicals that are on my hands off of the critters.
