Woodland Skipper

Ochlodes sylvanoides

I spotted this Woodland Skipper on an abandoned logging road in North Plains, Oregon.

There were various forms of wild grass, like wildrye (Elymus), wheatgrass (Agropyron), and oat grass (Arrhenatherum), that would have served as the plant hosts for the caterpillars.
