Pupa

Description:

Found this on the ground partly hidden by dry leaves in my mom's garden. No silky cocoons or threads. Twitches when disturbed. Could this be the pupa of an Oleander Hawk Moth? Saw some pics similar but not sure if other species have the same characteristic markings. Appreciate confirmation :-)

Yes, I recently found several of these and I kept them and out came Oleander Hawk Moths, so I think that's what these are.

Yes, it looks like a pupa of an Oleander Hawk Moth - http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/170.... But I have not seen other hawk moths' pupae for comparison, so I could not confirm.
