Description:

A large bird, with a white eye-strip and streaked underparts.

Habitat:

Can be seen in grasslands, marsh and lake margins.

Notes:

Most visible before rainstorms which it tends to predict with a dove-like bubbling that gives it the name of rainbird. This one was spotted after heavy rainfall.
