Thanks for the info Juan. I tried to ID this from a book & the digger wasp pictures looked the closest. I will update.

Hi Karen, I don't think this is a Sphecid wasp. Vespids are practically the only waps that can fold their wings, so this looks like a Paper Wasp (Vespidae) http://plantsci.missouri.edu/housebugs/p...
