This seed when released from the branch, flies spinning as helicopter...
Very cool! Almost looks like a huge moth wing. Great find!
Could it be that the "flying" capacity is used sometimes just for to ensure that the seed falls in the right position on the soil?

Man, I would love to have one of those seeds for my seed dispersal lesson...we have little maple seeds that move like helicopters..but, this huge seed is really awesome!
