yellow fly agaric

Description:

There were a lot of these along the trail to Bald Rock, but this one was the most brilliantly colored. A bright lemon yellow with a long, straight stalk and perfectly round cap. The scales were very distinct on this individual as well.

Habitat:

Forest floor beneath maples and oaks.
