Wild turkeys

Meleagris gallopavo

Notes:

It was pouring with rain when I spotted a flock of about 20 female turkeys in our front yard. By the time I got out there most of them had disappeared into the woods but I was able to get a few shots of the few that remained. They are looking pretty bedraggled because of the rain - & so was I after standing out in it for 10 minutes trying to get in a few photos!
