Great Blue Heron Mature

Great Blue Heron on the Hunt.

Wetlands, streams, rivers, and Coastal areas

Notes:

I was taking a fellow photographer out for a morning of shooting, and training. On our way to the waterfalls, we spotted this Great Blue Heron fishing in the shallows below the power plant that is currently down for construction. Fishing was premium for this bird, as the power plant was not allowing any water through and the shallow stream bed was loaded with small minnows and other fish and frogs.
