Check EOL http://eol.org/pages/13718781/overview This site uses Paropsisterna as the genus. I believe most of the Chrysophtharta has been reclassified into Paropsisterna.

This is a definately a Eucalyptus leaf beetle, sometimes called a tortoise beetle (Paropsisterna nobilitata.) You will find them on flickr and this link shows several.

Ladybird beetles have the same basic shape but are carnivorous but leaf beetles eat ... leaves.

Hi Jimena, this looks more like a Tortoise beetle (Chrysomellidae-Cassidinae). Lady bugs belongs to a different family (Coccinellidae).
