I donth think it is moss but camouflage. Here is a pictrure a friend made in Ecuador, where the green details are very clear

On the high res pic, it is clear that there is nothing growing on top of the spider, not even a lichen. It is just a matter of color patterns. High res pic can be seen here:

I am very positive that, the green is the main color on the spider, that resembles lichen, it is so cool
