Easily recognizable, second largest cat species. There is not much to say, except that they are truly majestic animals...

Habitat:

Savannah.

Notes:

These lions are probably the biggest attraction in Nairobi National Park, but I had my doubts about practices I've witnessed... As soon as lions were seen, the news about it spread like bush-fire, and a great number of vehicles were heading to that spot - when my group arrived, this poor cat was surrounded by 20 to 30 vehicles full of people... Even though they are free and not zoo animals in the park, this somehow did not feel right, so I did not linger...
