Description:

Leafless parasitic vine with medicinal properties. Indigenous in Hawai`i. Used to treat cancer and to ease childbirth. Considered a problematic weed by those who are unaware of its value. Photo shows flower buds.

Habitat:

This spotting occurred in nonnative lowland mesic forest. Associated plants were Dioclea wilsonii, Nephrolepis falcata, Melinis minutiflora.

Notes:
