Danaus plexippus
Green chrysalis with yellow-and-black edge. Found attached to a bunchgrass stalk.
Pollinator garden at Penn State Arboretum. This bunchgrass was next to a planting of milkweed (Asclepias sp.), presumably where the caterpillar was feeding before pupating.

It's amazing that you found that chrysalis in a stalk of grass...good eye!
