"When in doubt, don't!" is the 100% reliable mantra for edible wild plants. I was taught that with white berries, you have a 1/10 chance of it being edible. With a red/blue/purple/black berry it is 50/50. Best leave it alone if you don't know.
This is a dogwood shrub, but I am not well versed in the difference between species. It could be Swamp Dogwood or Silky Dogwood.Do not eat the berries.
