Description:

Male paper wasp foraging and hiding on goldenrod (Solidago sp.). The hooked antennal ends are indicative of a male. No other species of Vespidae in North America has mostly orange antennae, making the identification of this species easy.

Habitat:

Foraging on goldenrod (Solidago sp.) at a field edge. Near sports fields and campus periphery.
