Oecophylla smaragdina
This is an amazing photo
Amazing series of shots!
Very nice. Have you tried capturing queen ants and culturing them?
Please checkout these series of shots for comparison: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/750...
Queen ants are larger than most ants in the colony and have a large thorax which contains the flight muscles for the wings. They also have three extra ocelli or simple eyes in the rear center of the head which are used for flight stabilization.
Beautiful shots!
How do you know they are Queens?
with crowns and everything
