Moth

Eustixis sapotearum

Description:

Approximately 25 mm long. The adult moth has red forewings with with dark veins, and with yellow markings along the costa, and at the apex and tornus. The hindwings are plain scarlet. The abdomen is also scarlet. The males are rather paler than the females. The wingspan is about 4 cms.

Habitat:

Found in rainforest @ 1000 M elevation

Beautiful! This is the adult of the larva with the built-in balloons? Larva and adult are equally amazing!
