Orange and green almost metallic. enlarged palps that look like boxing gloves identify this as a male (Thanks Doren!)
Grasses and leafy vegetation; grassy, weedy fields (Brady, 1964) Eastern United States from Massachusetts and Iowa south to Florida and Texas, along Mexican border, north along Pacific coast to Oregon. Also much of South and Central America (Young and Lockle 1985)

This is a Lynx Spider, male. Those long bristles on thin legs are a characteristic feature. The enlarged palps that look like boxing gloves identify this as a male.

This may be the Striped Lynx, Oxyopes salticus, in which the abdomen may sometimes appear to have a metallic patina.
