Ornate wrasse

Description:

Brightly colored fish of some 12 to 20 cm in length, male (photos n° 1 to 3) and female (photos n° 4 and 5).

Habitat:

Native to East Atlantic and Mediterranean sea, Ornate wrasse is a very common fish in Adriatic, close to shores. This summer (an every summer) we observed it on every beach in the area, between rocks and on rocky bottoms in shallow waters close to shores.
